RGBoo is an interactive website livestream of a Halloween-themed display where you can submit a color and name to physically change the livestream. So far, a two year tradition that was prepared in personal collaboration with developers during the month of September to be launched the first day of October for a 31 day non-stop celebration. With lofi music playing in the background and other small interactive elements on the website, this project gets people into the Halloween spirit acting as a vibey background or fun, interactive visual display. As the design lead of this project, I worked on creating the logo, a miniature model of a graveyard, and the overall physical display. The logo comes from the play on letters in the name RGBoo and spooky eyes. The miniature graveyard is located on the bottom left of the shelf on the display and is entirely physically crafted including a 3D-printed mausoleum and resin-filled stream. The overall display includes a collection of Halloween decorations and a CRT TV, playing a montage of 80s/90s/00s horror movies.

Developed for sustainable, ultralight gear brand GOFAR, this multifaceted marketing campaign explores the intersection of outdoor culture and visual storytelling. The project encompasses brand strategy, web presence, and digital content creation tailored to an adventurous audience. Through deliberate photography and curated digital post-production, the imagery adopts a cryptic, creative approach—building anticipation around core product lines while crafting an intriguing, moody aesthetic that sets the brand apart in the outdoor gear market. The content I am in charge of creating includes flyers, posters, flags, photography, and other forms of digital media.

The Eixample in Barcelona is a bustling grid of blocks, offering housing, retail, and dining options. Among these blocks are Illas, serving as courtyards or parks. This project suggests modifying these Illas by dividing them into zones based on site visits and observations. Emphasizing spaces for young adults, teens, and the elderly, it enhances community engagement within these unique interiors.

Mývatn, Iceland is abundant with views of pseudocraters, lakes, and the northern lights. With the call for a beer spa that hosts a brewery, tasting bar and relaxing spa facilities with beer baths near the Sel-Mývatn Hotel, this design prescribes all of these features as well as a focus on the most scenic views of the site. The design was derived from the angles from a radial diagram of the direction of the views of the site as well as a play on the interior and exterior experience of the user. Each form of the building hosts a different experience depending on what the tourist or local is in the mood for when visiting this beer spa.

Throughout this course, I explored the relationship between ecology, identity, and sustainability through Félix Guattari's The Three Ecologies, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and the study of Barn Owls. Researching the work of ornithologist Alexander Roulin revealed how variation within Barn Owl populations reflects the importance of biodiversity and challenged the idea of a single "ideal" identity. This research encouraged me to think about how graphic design can make ecological knowledge more accessible and engaging for the public. These ideas culminated in a series of postcards and a speculative street art campaign. The postcards combine taxonomy, geography, and bold graphics to highlight the Barn Owl's global diversity, while the stencil graffiti imagines owl silhouettes appearing in designated public art spaces as a subtle awareness campaign. Together, these projects use visual communication to encourage people to recognize the Barn Owl as a symbol of biodiversity and to reconsider cities as environments shared by both humans and wildlife.

Mudfire Clay Studio, owned by Daphne and Deklan, is a vibrant, community-driven space that welcomes artists and students of all backgrounds to explore the craft of ceramics. This project reimagines the studio’s layout to optimize space, enhance functionality, and accommodate a greater number of users. By studying the existing space and identifying areas for improvement, we developed solutions that streamline movement and workflow. As part of the renovation, we integrated an innovative clay brick wall feature, utilizing Georgia Tech’s Digital Fabrication Lab’s 3D clay printers to blend traditional craftsmanship with digital fabrication. The redesign introduces “doorless rooms,” creating a seamless flow between different studio areas while maintaining distinct zones for various activities. This open yet structured layout not only fosters collaboration among artists but also provides Daphne and Deklan with a clearer, more intuitive way to oversee the studio.

The Camino de Santiago stretches across Spain, Portugal, and France, drawing pilgrims who journey its paths in search of reflection and meaning. This year’s Portman Studio competition explored how light and shadow can shape meditative experiences and serve as guides for retreat spaces. In this project, the Camino becomes the starting point for a deeper journey of contemplation within the retreat. Light functions as a temporal marker, expressed through shifting direct and diffuse conditions. As visitors move along the main circulation path, they catch framed glimpses of their final destination: a meditation room formed as a large truncated cone, encircled by a secondary, rounded walking corridor. The residential units embrace the site’s natural, gentle slope, resting lightly on the terrain and concealed behind a masonry wall that ascends with the landscape. Between select units, communal gathering spaces offer moments of pause, connection, and shared reflection.

Utilizing three ecosocial levels (Landscape, Community, and Organism) helps understand the aspects of material aesthetics in terms of Behavior, Energetics, and Evolution for the user to not only experience what is perceived optically, but also through other senses, and metaphysically. By looking through different constructs of materiality, these lenses can define community spaces, dwellings, circulation, and other elements of the design to redefine the palimpsest of Atlanta’s history that was once there and evoke a sense of place and continutiy in Atlanta rather than what it is now -- a terrain vague. Material codes establish a dynamic relationship between different types of man-made and natural materials that engages the haptic and visual sensations of the user.

A mixed-use student housing block that integrates transit, innovation, and biophilic space into a continuous urban ecosystem. This project reimagines the Biltmore Block as a mixed-use hub that integrates student housing, innovation space, and transit into a cohesive urban system. Organized around a planted courtyard, the design balances density with access to light, air, and shared outdoor space. A layered ground condition—ranging from active retail edges to a more open, social courtyard—supports both public engagement and student life. The project explores how architecture can mediate between infrastructure and community, creating a continuous relationship between movement, landscape, and occupation.

This project takes place in Piranesi’s reimagined city of Rome, specifically, the Campo Marzio, comprising of amphitheaters, labrynths, and existing monuments of Rome. Starting off with a collection of digital CDs and analyzing its physical components, how it is read, and converted into music, this led to an occupation of performance spaces to collect people’s personal stories, songs, podcasts, etc. By connecting the different amphitheaters on the map, including the Colosseum, Theater of Marcellus & Balbus, and Theater of Pompeii, this led to the creation of a music parade to spread the sound and colors of performances throughout Rome. With the creation of a flexible apparatus that would visually reflect sounds of any performance, the colors and sounds of live performances would be applicable anywhere.

Atlanta is in need of additional affordable housing, and we look to the MARTA rail system as the site for an innovative solution. By working underneath the elevated sections of the MARTA rail, our proposal transforms this neglected industrial space into a new affordable housing system, the MARTA Bridge Village. The Village maximizes each unit’s access to light and outdoor space through the use of courtyards and balconies, and is punctured by communal spaces built around the columns supporting the bridge above. The proposal uses the new Shape Machine technology to lay out its linear master plan in a manner that connects each unit’s outdoor spaces, in order to maximize the use of these spaces in an under-bridge setting and develop resilient communities.
